WORK IN PROGRESS. So I decided to redo from scratch my image I found my last project had fundamental compositional errors. So here is my unfinished painting. The idea is to create an establishing shot for the empire. I want to symbolize confidence and power through shadows. The imperial shuttle is not in the shadows. Also the empire has built this black metal rig over the native planets ancestral structure. There is no imminent danger in this scene. Also color is used to draw the eye to the imperial shuttle

WORK FLOW. For the technical underlay I used Sketchbook pro. Then once I had something I liked I threw it back into photoshop. As I was working I am seriously considering integrating 3d into my workflow.
